Representation [Social class]

 Media was (previously) entirely controlled by the upper class [as it was considered to be a luxury/leisure - affordable by only a few/well off people]. Now, in the contemporary society; there has been a diversity & now thay more people from different classes are featured 

Stereotypes associated with different classes: 

• Upper class:  shown as well off/cunning & posh

• Middle class:  shown as people with good family values, well behaved -  'normal'.

• Working class: Relatively poorer, unhappy and distressed/less intelligent.

• Lower/under class: Shown as being criminals, into unethical behavior & bad influences/ no family values.
